  • Euthanasia Grants. Please see here for more information.
  • The rescue, care, treatment, and rehabilitation of horses, ponies, and donkeys. (See Horse Diaries).
  • The collection of, and the assuming of responsibility for surrendered horses, ponies, and donkeys.
  • The raising of orphaned foals.
  • The facilitation of the training & education of equines taken into care.
  • Campaigns and assistance for equines and their owners during times of natural disasters.
  • Emergency temporary agistment in case of bushfire/flood/natural disaster.
  • Condition Assessments.
  • Educational resources and referrals.
  • Welfare Alert Postcards.
  • Advice, support and suggestions related to the general health, care, and husbandry of equines.
  • Free listings of equines seeking homes.
  • Practical support to other equine welfare agencies.
Please note:
  • Horses surrendered to Quest and/or rehabilitating are not placed into foster/volunteer homes for the period of their recuperation.
  • All Quest equines are housed and cared for directly by Quest, their care being provided by Quest personnel, along with Quest's allied health professionals.
  • No health related advice and/or suggestions offered by any Quest representative is to be substituted for advice from an attending Veterinarian.
  • Quest does not have the legislated powers which enable seizure of horses. The only Australian welfare organisation that does is the RSPCA.
