‘Equitarian’ service for equines may include, (but is not limited to):

Offering free or low cost vaccinations, geldings, euthanasia.
Volunteering services or resources to an incorporated equine rehabilitation organisation or equine related therapy centre.
Contributing funds to support an equine related benevolent program.
Volunteering educational programs for equine veterinary students.
Educating equine owners about appropriate health care.
Volunteering services for equine welfare related projects in third world countries.

Eligibility:

Professional* is defined for the purposes of eligibility for nomination for this award as an individual engaged in an equine related occupation as a means of livelihood.
Open only to individuals, not organisations.
Open to employees of organisations and businesses who go above and beyond the scope of their role.
The good works performed or services volunteered by a nominee must be of a consistent and ongoing nature, not a ‘one off’ situation.

AWARD:

Profiles of eligible nominees will be featured on Q.E.W’s website and considered for the 2012 Q.E.W. Equitarian Award.
