A good news catch up on one of our horses :)
Some of you may remember that around two and a half years ago, one of our rescued mares presented us with a gorgeous little Pinto foal about 9 mths after we had taken her in. At the time we named her 'Miracle', as it was indeed a miracle that she was alive at all. You can visit Miracle's page on the old site here.
Miracle's mum was re-homed to a lovely home in WA a year ago now, and little Miracle has been growing up on the farm. Well 'little' Miracle is not so little these days, and has been away at boarding school.
Here are some pics of our Miracle doing very well at school :)
(You can click on the images to enlarge them).
Tony, (who hasn't ridden in many years, and was understandably a bit nervous), hopped on and took Miracle for a ride before she came home. The property she has been on is a Thoroughbred breaker/trainers property, and Tony had to ride her down a track between two paddocks of TB's, all of them galloping down the fence line and playing silly bugga's. Miracle didn't bat an eyelid. Took her through what was pretty much a creek, perfect, she never missed a beat for the whole ride.
We are very proud of the little girl, she is obviously going to go on to become a fabulous riding horse :) Congrats to her mum Faith, who at the age of 20, did so well to carry her precious bundle safely through some very rough times.
